Lacking motivation?

Oh if you need a motivational talk, get it from me. I’m the ZONE OUT QUEEN. If I can make it as a successful hairstylist then so can YOU! I have had obstacles along the way through struggles in paying attention, from making a

simple color formula on my associate homework, to getting in car wrecks on the way to work. You name it, I’ve been there! I’ve overcame my struggles in awareness. Let me tell you just one little story of many...When I first got my license I worked at an hourly salon with tips. It was easy position. It’s not where I wanted to be long term, but you know what, I have to start somewhere. I didn’t aim high after being there a little while because I let my THOUGHTS overcome my confidence. I remember one of my first days there, one of the managers said “We need to pay attention to the door ding, especially if we’re going to be in the back we can’t always hear as well as being up front.” She was nice, yes it was common sense but man, did I let that simple comment get me down in the dumps. Immediately thoughts of me being lazy filled my head. “She must think I’m lazy since I was in the back.” “She must not like me because she was staring at me and not any other stylist when she made that comment.” Although I was the newest stylist, so of course she was talking to me so I would know the rules and how they ran things around here.WHY would I let that affect my confidence? I can’t stress enough to stop letting little voices of doubt take over your mind and confidence. The moment you stop letting your thoughts of doubt take over is the moment you start to achieve true success in life. You know what, life can get scary and some guests may make you feel like you’re facing a firing squad. You just have to remember you have to overcome your fears and be positive within yourself and know that you will continue to grow through mistakes that you will make throughout life.
