Oh prom season, this was a fun one! This lovely gals head had a TON of hair, long, super thick and HEAVY. I was curious by each little technique I tied in if I was going to have it anchored enough with all my Bobby pins. I practiced this updo for a WEEK on my mannequins. Although each time I got a little better even though frustration set in with each hair elastic breaking and bobby pins flying out of the mannequins head, I practiced. I was excited for this appointment. An hour and a half later it was up. It was done. And it was anchored. We laughed, told each other stories, and the more time that passed I realized dang! It‘s lookin’ GOOD! She said “wow, I think it looks even better than the photo!” That was music to my ears. I was soo happy that it turned out this good. I used to be TERRIFIED of updos but now I can’t wait to do more. I get excited with my hair colors and highlights at the end of the appointment hoping they want to get a braid or some little half up do because I’m hungry for them, I have fell in love with updos. I have learned to love challenges because they become something you can be proud of once you master them.
