Who am I

Besides having the love and passion of all things hair I am also; a wife, mom, and daughter. I am also a landscape enthusiast. When I’m not behind the chair I’m up late hours of the night working with my husband in our yard with our head mounted flashlights on. Our neighbors I’m sure have gotten used to seeing us hauling loads of rocks, soil, and  mulch around. We share a hobby of loving landscape together that had only grown more and more since our son enjoys it just as much as we do. It’s a great time for our family to bond together and spend time with one another. We have many books on plants and landscaping that we like to look at in our spare time.

Our son loves going to Lowe’s with us and picking out his own bushes too. Each vacation we take, we keep a lookout for rocks we can take home for our landscape areas of the yard. It has become a passion of mine just like when I transform hair on my clients I get to transform my yard. The feeling I get from a new creation coming to life in my yard makes me ecstatic!

It’s such a peaceful place that I get to unwind and relax. I believe everyone needs to enjoy nature. One piece of nature that really inspired me by its beauty was the hiking trails in Colorado Springs.

I fell in love with the smells of the trees and the beautiful blue tones of all the different spruces. We collected rock from places we visited and bought several Colorado trees to have in our back yard. Now I feel as if I’m in Colorado year round when I walk outside!

On top of landscaping, I love spending precious moments with our son in the hammock stand my husband built for me that has a pergola on top for the wonderful flower vines that we planted for it.   I love sitting in the tree swing with our son while my husband pushes us and hearing our son laugh with glee.  These are the moments I cherish.  I love sitting on a blanket as a family in the backyard just watching the dragonflies zip by, the birds chirp, and squirrels play.
